WOMEN ECONOMIC EMANCIPATION INITIATIVE

Trainees from our training programs especially that of TYDF/WEEI skills acquisition programes, the youth entrepreneurial education and the widows skills have made positive impact on them as the trainings received are making them to compete favourably in their chosen crafts and businesses. Our products; bead products and Ankara bags, Moringa product are beginning to be accepted globally.

The most strategic of all is our strategic partnership with the federal government on unemployment reduction through its Sure- P Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS) presently 13 graduates have been engaged in our office and the resultant impact is rewarding. The Coordinator of the program was named the best female philanthropist in the State by the Women in Colleges of Education North East Zone, Nigeria due to the impact the organization makes in skills impartation and entrepreneurial education in the State and region.

WEEI AT A CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP ORGANIZED IN COLLABORATION WITH TY DANJUMA FOUNDATION AT ABUJA, NIGERIA ON HOW TO TRAIN YOUTH FOR FUTURE LEADERSHIP.

WEEI FACILITATED YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING TO STUDENTS OF GOVERNMENT COLLEGE, JALINGO, TARABA STATE IN MARCH 2014, JOINTLY ORGANIZED BY TY DANJUMA FOUNDATION.

WEEI IN COLLABORATION WITH TY DANJUMA FOUNDATION TRAINED 20 YOUTHS IN DIFFERENT BUSINESSES AND HAND SKILLS FOR 6 MONTHS CIRCA 2015 AT WUKARI L.G.A OF TARABA STATE, NIGERIA. GRADUATES WERE EQUIPPED WITH START-UP KITS OF BOTH CASH AND EQUIPMENT.
