SENSITIZATION /SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

The NGO embarks on the following programmes in a bid to improve the economic stamina of the women and adolescent girls. The NGO has carried out sensitization programmes across the Northern Zone of Taraba State and Maiduduguri in Borno State and hopes to extend the scope with availability of funds (below are some posed photographs of our activities). Areas of the sensitization /skills development include but not limited to:
⦁ Marketing skills development programs.
⦁ Adult and literacy one year program for the unread in batches,
⦁ Sensitization program on HIV/AIDS,
⦁ Sensitization on nutrition for the woman and adolescent girl (getting the best nutrition from locally produced food),
⦁ Simple book keeping techniques for individuals & cooperative groups.

Moringa Production

Members of the NGO with registered members and cooperative groups have been engaged in local small scale production of Moringa for the past three(3) years even before the NGO became registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission on the 3rd of February, 2012. Marketing of the product is still at local level and needs to be scaled up. Here are some of our activities and products in pictorial form.

Moringa has great potential to become one of the most economically important tree crops for the tropics and sub-tropics, and especially in Taraba State. With all of its attributes – its ability to thrive under difficult conditions and the properties which offer nutritious food, clean water, medicine and income – it is surely no exaggeration to call Moringa “The Miracle Tree.”
